Support a CACFP Week Proclamation in Your State

January 13, 2026

CACFP-Week-2026-Social-Square-4-cacfp.org_

National CACFP Week will be here before you know it! This year, March 15-21 marks this national education campaign designed to raise awareness of the CACFP and its contribution to combating hunger. This year, our theme is Stirring Up Goodness! We need your help to stir up goodness in your State by getting the word out and encouraging others to celebrate with us.

Ask Your Governor to Proclaim March 15-21, 2026, as National CACFP Week!

Last year, advocates in 12 organizations worked with their Governor’s office to get a CACFP Week Proclamation in their State (listed below). We are grateful for the efforts of these superstar advocates and this year our goal is to get a CACFP Week Proclamation in all 50 States!

How to Submit a Proclamation Request

We need your help to achieve this ambitious goal! Here’s how to get started:

  1. Download our Sample Request for Proclamation
  2. Find Your Governor at https://www.usa.gov/state-governor
  3. Go to their website and find their contact page
  4. Submit your request through a general contact form – some governors may have a specific request form for proclamation

You may not hear from their office immediately, but don’t worry it may take some time for them to get back to you. Once you receive the Governor’s signed proclamation, be sure to send it to policy@cacfp.org and share on social media! For more information and resources, visit our CACFP Week webpage.
